"Texas Woman’s University opened the Institute of Health Sciences-Houston Center in August, 2006. Located at 6700 Fannin, in the heart of Houston’s world renowned Texas Medical Center, the new Houston Center is a 10-story, 202,000 square-foot “campus in one building” that was funded at no cost to the state through an innovative public/private partnership that has raised nearly $40 million for the new building.
Currently, more than 1,300 students majoring in nursing, physical therapy, library science, healthcare administration, occupational therapy and nutrition are enrolled at the TWU Houston Center." TWU - Houston website

Texas longhorn cow at Houston Farm & Ranch Complex. Houston, Texas. Nov. 2009.
"...The descendant of hardy Spanish cattle, the Texas Longhorn can thrive in country where no other breed can live; subsist on weeds, cactus and brush; range days away from water; and stay fit and fertile whether it’s living in the scorching, parasite-infested tropics or in the winters of Montana. - prized for lean beef which is lower in fat, cholesterol. and calories than other beef cattle..." Braes Bayou and the Texas Medical Center

Braes Bayou is not the prettiest waterway. It was paved over in the 1950s before the environmental movement for flood control reasons. The channelization and paving of the bayou apparently does lessen floods, but also destroyed a lot of natural habitat. I'd much rather see natural flood control measures put in place like the use of natual wetlands and retention reservoirs to handle excess water during heavy rains (like those used to keep Buffalo Bayou under control). Anyways, at least the concrete bayou has a nice bike path next to it. I took this photo on a ride last weekend.

what marketing /advertising message are they trying to convey?
"don't lose your head" while shopping here
be careful while shopping here, everything costs "an arm and a leg" (perhaps even two),
or -
beware, we'll "take the shirt off your back"
all in all, maybe not the best messages ... but maybe they are just my interpretations!
